TGCSB, IIIT Hyderabad Launch Vyuha Labs Cyber Hub
Collaboration to build cyber resilience
Hyderabad: The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) and International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H), have launched Vyuha Labs – Cyber Innovation Hub at IIIT Hyderabad. Spread over 3,000 sq. ft., the facility is equipped with advanced tools and infrastructure dedicated to the cyber domain, making it the first-of-its-kind initiative in the policing ecosystem.
The hub will act as a platform for startups, academia, and industry to co-develop solutions to fight cybercrime and strengthen cybersecurity. As part of a wider MoU between TGCSB and IIIT-H, the initiative will support incubation, research, and training programs while bridging the gap between real-world challenges and academic expertise.
Leaders stress innovation-driven security
Inaugurating the hub, Director General of Police, Telangana, Dr. Jitender, IPS, underlined that cybercrime is one of the fastest-growing threats, requiring collaborative and innovative responses. Shikha Goel, IPS, Director, TGCSB, said Telangana has been at the forefront of cybercrime enforcement and this hub will foster scalable solutions.
Prof. Sandeep Shukla, Director, IIIT Hyderabad, noted that cybersecurity is both a technological and societal challenge, highlighting academia’s role in creating talent and knowledge-based solutions.
The event was attended by senior police officials, academic leaders, and industry representatives. Officials emphasized that Vyuha Labs will serve as a model for the country, strengthening Telangana’s digital security and positioning it as a leader in innovation-driven cybercrime prevention.
