Revenue Inspector booked for demanding Rs. 12 lakh bribe in Ibrahimpatnam
Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, arrested G. Krishna, Revenue Inspector at the Tahsildar Office in Ibrahimpatnam Mandal, Ranga Reddy district, for allegedly demanding a bribe of ₹12 lakh.
According to ACB officials, Krishna demanded the amount from a complainant for processing the addition of 7 guntas of land in the name of the complainant’s father in the Pattadar Passbook, related to Survey No. 355 of Adibatla village. He also allegedly offered to facilitate the file's movement at the Revenue Divisional Office (RDO) and to influence senior officials at both the MRO and RDO offices.
The ACB stated that by demanding the bribe, the officer failed to perform his official duties in an honest and lawful manner. He was arrested and produced before the I Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases at Nampally, Hyderabad. The case is under investigation.
