HYDRAA recovers Rs 400 crore worth of Jubilee Enclave’s encroached land in Madhapur
Hyderabad: Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Monitoring Agency (HYDRAA) removed major illegal occupations on parks, roads, and government land in the upscale Jubilee Enclave layout. This action in Madhapur's Serilingampally mandal saved property valued at nearly Rs. 400 crores on Thursday.
The action began after a complaint from Jubilee Enclave Layout representatives to HYDRAA Prajavani. They alleged that an individual named Jaihind Reddy had illegally occupied parks that were originally gifted to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) as per the approved layout. Upon investigating the complaint, HYDRAA field officials confirmed the encroachments were genuine.
The operation targeted four specific sites: two parks covering about 8,500 square yards, nearly 5,000 square yards of road, and an additional 300 square yards of government land where an illegal hotel shed was operating. In total, HYDRA secured 16,000 square yards of prime land. As per the orders of HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath, the enforcement team, led by ACP Srikanth and Inspectors Rajasekhar and Balagopal, cleared the encroachments.
According to the HYDRAA, the Jubilee Enclave layout, approved in 1995 and regularized by the government in 2006, comprises nearly 100 plots across 22.20 acres. The complainants had also raised questions about how Jaihind Reddy could claim ownership of what was supposed to be government land, noting that there are multiple land-grabbing cases against him. They expressed deep gratitude to HYDRA for its action, stating that protecting these parks offers a ‘breath of fresh air’ in an area densely surrounded by IT offices and residences.
Immediately after the demolitions, HYDRA officials erected boards declaring the park land secured and began installing fencing around the perimeter to prevent future encroachments.
