HYDRAA receives 71 complaints in Prajavani programme
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) received 71 complaints during the Prajavani programme held which went on till 8 pm on Monday. Most of these grievances were related to encroachments on parks and roads.
When the HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath was informed about the illegal construction of walls blocking public access to roads, he directed officials to immediately remove these walls constructed around residential colonies so that people could freely access the roads and open spaces. The commissioner instructed officials to strictly adhere to the approved layout plans for the maintenance of roads.
During a hearing on a complaint, the officials used Google Maps to analyze historical satellite imagery to compare the current land area with the conditions a decade ago. They also showed the maps data of their property to the complainants, ensuring transparency in the resolution process.
Residents of Rangareddy district’s Abdullahpurmet reported the encroachment of their plots in Survey Nos. 951 to 954 by one Sammireddy Bal Reddy. They urged HYDRAA to take action and clear the illegally built farmhouse on their land parcels.
Several landowners of Ghatkesar mandal in Medchal-Malkajgiri district have accused Nalla Malla Reddy, who owns several educational institutions, of encroaching their plots in Survey Nos. 716, 717 and 718. The complainant Khaja Meera Moinuddin said that the educationist has occupied their lands since 2010. He also said that the AP Gazette had published details of the 23 cases against Malla Reddy.
