HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath urged teams to understand the specific challenges that arise during rainfall and be familiar with vulnerable locations. He stressed the importance of keeping roads and residential areas free from flooding and advised teams to use dry periods to address pending issues.

“The government has entrusted Hyderabad Disaster Management and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) with the responsibility of ensuring that citizens do not face hardships during the monsoon. It is our collective duty to uphold that trust,” Commissioner A.V. Ranganath said.

Commissioner A.V. Ranganath further advised teams not to work in isolation and to extend support across divisions if problems arise nearby. Coordination between Greater Hyderabad Municipal (GHMC), the Water Board, HYDRAA, the Irrigation Department, and other related agencies was identified as key to managing the season effectively.

Contractors were asked to ensure that equipment such as pumps and vehicles remain functional. Any technical failures should be reported immediately to the concerned officials for swift action.

The Commissioner also highlighted the importance of addressing grievances raised by public representatives, citizens, and colony welfare associations with seriousness and urgency. “There should be no boundaries when it comes to public service,” Hyderabad Disaster Management and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) Commissioner A.V. Ranganath concluded.
