Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has announced the introduction of a "Complaints Day" every Monday, starting in January 2025.
The announcement was made to address public issues, including encroachments on ponds, canals, and parks. The sessions will be held at Buddha Bhavan, where senior officials will be available to resolve complaints from citizens.
The official announcement, shared through HYDRAA's social media handle, read, “HYDRAA will introduce a Complaints Day every Monday starting in January 2025 to address public issues such as encroachments on ponds, canals, and parks. The sessions will be held at Buddha Bhavan, with senior officials available to resolve complaints. #HYDRAA @TelanganaCMO, @gadwalvijayainc, @GHMCOnline, @PrlsecyMAUD.”
Meanwhile, a video of a palabhishekam (a ritual offering of milk) to a photo of HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath has gone viral on social media.
The video shows residents of Venkateshwara Colony in Hyderabad's Badangpet Municipality performing the ritual as a gesture of gratitude for the HYDRAA Commissioner’s quick action in protecting a local park from encroachment.
According to reports, after the residents raised their concerns, HYDRAA took prompt action, resolving the issue within just two days. The residents, expressing their appreciation, thanked both Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Commissioner Ranganath for their swift response and support.
