In a press release on Sunday, Ranganath refuted the claims made by Rajender, who had linked HYDRAA to the issue. The Commissioner explained that neither he nor any HYDRAA official had knowledge of the matter. He also mentioned that he had discussed the issue with the Medchal-Malkajgiri District Collector and requested an explanation from the MRO regarding the notices.

Ranganath expressed concern over the MP’s remarks, which he said were misleading and causing unnecessary panic. He clarified that HYDRAA is focused on addressing large-scale land grabbers and is committed to supporting the common people.

The Commissioner further stated that HYDRAA does not interfere with residential properties built before July 2024 nor does it target commercial complexes with proper permissions. He stressed that the agency’s work does not affect ordinary citizens and appealed to the public not to be misled by false accusations.

Ranganath also pointed out that he had previously met with Etela Rajender at the Secretariat, where he had explained the agency’s operations in detail.
