HYDRAA Commissioner warns against unauthorized layout changes, stresses political neutrality

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) Commissioner A.V. Ranganath has reiterated that the HYDRAA functions in a strictly apolitical manner. He clarified that the organization has no association with social media posts made under the name "HYDRAA Warriors" and warned that legal action would be taken against anyone linking the agency to political content.

“HYDRAA does not post politically motivated content and maintains distance from politics,” said Commissioner Ranganath. He highlighted that the agency’s primary focus remains on lake restoration, protection of public and government land, and disaster response.

Meanwhile, HYDRAA received public appreciation from residents of seven colonies in Injapur village under the Turkayamjal Municipality, following swift action on a long-standing issue. Residents of Apple Avenue, Sri Rangapuram, Sainath Colony, Sundarayya Colony, Sri Srinivasa Colony, Indiramma Colony 1, and Indiramma Colony 2 expressed gratitude after HYDRAA removed an illegally constructed wall blocking the 45-foot-wide main road in Sri Rangapuram Colony.

The obstruction had caused significant inconvenience for over 20 years, preventing access for ambulances and school buses. During the “Praja Vani” public grievance program held on Monday, citizens thanked the Commissioner for resolving the issue immediately after receiving their complaint.

Residents also appreciated the state government for setting up HYDRAA, noting that it was playing a key role in protecting public interest. Commissioner Ranganath warned that strict action would be taken against any unauthorized alterations to approved layouts and ordered the removal of encroachments across the district.

A total of 63 complaints were received during the Praja Vani session on April 28. A separate request was also submitted at the HYDRAA Police Station regarding the Divyanagar layout.
