Hydra files two cases against Vertex in Hyderabad
HYDERABAD: Hydra has reiterated that it will not intervene in disputes involving private land. At the same time, it said it will act firmly if there are encroachments on lakes, canals, parks, public utility areas, or government land.
The agency clarified that the dispute between Vertex Real Estate and a woman named Chaitanya Reddy in Tukkuguda municipality is purely private. Based on complaints, Hydra conducted an inquiry, calling both parties for a transparent hearing. It concluded that the land tussle is not within its scope. Hydra, however, said it demolished illegal constructions undertaken by Vertex at Sooram lake. It also took a serious view of the company dumping soil in Kottakunta lake and has registered two cases against it.
The agency strongly criticised recent comments by Sunkari Naresh, who was earlier removed from the High Court Bar Council and later obtained a stay on technical grounds. Hydra said his allegations were baseless and an attempt to mislead people. In her complaint, Chaitanya Reddy alleged that Vertex laid a road through her land, but Hydra said the matter has to be settled between the two parties. She had already filed a case against Vertex at the police station and can also approach the court.
Chaitanya Reddy further complained that Sunkari Naresh and intermediaries had collected ₹50 lakh from her. Hydra examined her along with a person she identified as a middleman. Following this, Hydra filed a case at Pahadisharif police station for further investigation. Hydra urged the public not to believe in brokers’ false claims or fall into their traps. It said police would investigate the broker issue in depth and bring out the facts.
