The Cyberabad Traffic Police posted an update on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “Traffic movement is slow at Pillar No: 680 after Hydernagar U-turn (ahead of JNTU Metro Station) towards Kukatpally due to a vehicle accident. KPHB Traffic Police are working to clear traffic. Please cooperate with Traffic Police.”

There have been no official updates regarding injuries in the incident. Further details are awaited.

In a separate incident, a diesel tanker overturned near Mettuguda Railway Station in Secunderabad on December 16, 2024, spilling thousands of litres of diesel. The fuel spill prompted a quick response from police and emergency teams, who advised motorists to avoid the area due to the hazardous conditions.

Earlier, a similar spill on the Kushaiguda-Nagaram road created slippery conditions that caused several two-wheelers to skid. Around 25 riders were affected, with a few sustaining minor injuries. The spill occurred when an oil tanker traveling from ECIL to Keesara leaked fuel onto the road.

The Disaster Response Force (DRF) team from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), along with Kushaiguda police, reached the scene to contain the situation. Sand and sawdust were spread to absorb the fuel, and traffic was diverted to prevent further accidents.
