This disruption will affect water supply in several areas including Erragadda, SR Nagar, Ameerpet, KPHB Colony, Kukatpally, Moosapet, Jagadgirigutta, RC Puram, Ashok Nagar, Jyoti Nagar, Lingampalli, Chandanagar, Gangaram, Madinaguda, Miyapur, Deepti Sri Nagar, Beeramguda, Aminpur, and Nizampet. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has urged citizens to conserve water during this period.

“The water board had to shift the PSC pipeline to another place to carry out road work at BHEL Junction. NHAI took the responsibility of this work. It told the water board that it would complete the work in 12 hours,” said Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) managing director Ashok Reddy. He added that the pipeline shift work has not been completed even after 30 hours. Authorities have urged citizens to use water judiciously during this period.

The water board official has said that the repair work may take a week to resume water supply in these areas: Division 6 including Erragadda, SR Nagar, Ameerpet; division 9 including KPHB Colony, Kukatpally, Moosapet, Jagadgirigutta.

Following areas under division 17 will also get affected: RC Puram, Ashok Nagar, Jyoti Nagar, Lingampalli, Chandanagar, Gangaram, Madinaguda, Miyapur and division 22 including Deepti Sri Nagar, Beeramguda, Aminpur, Nizampet.
