Outcry over harassment of US Vlogger in Charminar
Hyderabad: A disturbing incident involving the alleged harassment of a United States-based vlogger in the historic Charminar area has sparked widespread condemnation and prompted swift action from the Hyderabad City Police.
The issue came to light after a social media user, @SidhuuJ, shared a video clip. It was originally posted by the vlogger @jaystreazy on Facebook. The video purportedly showed a local individual using inappropriate language towards a foreign woman. The incident occurred within the bustling bylanes of Charminar, one of Hyderabad's most iconic tourist destinations. It raised serious concerns about the safety and dignity of international visitors.
Expressing deep concern over the event, the social media user stated, “It is truly concerning to witness such incidents. What is happening with the jurisdiction & within the Charminar limits? Tourists visiting India, especially Hyderabad, should experience our culture, hospitality, and respect.”
Further he strongly condemned the act. He called the use of inappropriate language toward a foreign woman “deeply disappointing & absolutely unacceptable.” The user then tagged the official handle of the Hyderabad Police. He made a direct appeal, “I sincerely request @hydcitypolice to kindly look into this matter & take appropriate action to ensure the safety, dignity, and respect of all international tourists visiting our city.”

Meanwhile, the Hyderabad City Police responded with promptness. Replying to the concerned post, the police force acknowledged the complaint, stating, “Sir, the matter has been brought to the notice of SHO Charminar, and necessary action is being initiated accordingly.”
This immediate response was met with appreciation. The social media user thanked the police, saying, “Thank you for addressing this issue. I appreciate that @hydcitypolice. I hope these measures will ensure the safety and dignity of all visitors.”
