Traffic Advisory Issued in Hyderabad for Miss World Event on May 18

The Hyderabad Traffic Police have released a traffic advisory in anticipation of the visit by Miss World contestants to the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat and a grand carnival scheduled at Upper Tank Bund on Sunday, May 18.
To ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety, authorities have announced that traffic diversions will be implemented between 3 PM and 10 PM, based on the real-time situation and crowd movement in the area.
Key diversions are as follows:
Ambedkar Statue Junction: Vehicles heading from the Secretariat junction towards Upper Tank Bund will be redirected towards Liberty. Similarly, traffic from Liberty intending to move towards Upper Tank Bund will be diverted to the Telugu Thalli flyover.
Sailing Club Area: Vehicles moving from Karbala Maidan towards Upper Tank Bund will be diverted at the Sailing Club junction towards Kavadiguda. In addition, traffic coming from DBR Mills in the direction of Upper Tank Bund will be rerouted at DBR Mills towards Goshala and Kavadiguda.
To accommodate the influx of visitors and avoid congestion, specific parking zones have been designated:
●NTR Stadium
●One side of the road from the Old Ambedkar Statue to Lepakshi
●One side of the road from the Sailing Club to Children's Park
●One side of the road from Buddha Bhavan to PV Marg
Traffic officials urge commuters to stay informed about these diversions and to use alternative routes where possible. The public is also advised to avoid the areas around the Secretariat and Upper Tank Bund during the advisory hours unless absolutely necessary.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police request cooperation from the public to ensure the smooth conduct of the international event and to minimize inconvenience. Real-time updates and assistance will be provided by on-ground personnel and through official social media handles.
