Ramzan Observance in Hyderabad
Ramzan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is observed by Muslims worldwide as a time for fasting, prayer, reflection, and community. This year, Ramzan will conclude on March 31, 2025.
Fasting from dawn until sunset is obligatory for adult Muslims, except for those who are ill, elderly, pregnant, breastfeeding, menstruating, or traveling. The predawn meal (suhur) and the evening meal (iftar) mark the start and end of each fasting day. Ramzan is a time for spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and worship, with an emphasis on the study of the Quran.
