Alert: Traffic curbs for IAF air show at Hussain Sagar today

Hyderabad: In view of the Air Show by the Indian Air Force over Hussain Sagar at Tank Bund on the eve of "Praja Palana  Praja Vijayotsavalu" celebrations on Sunday, Hyderabad traffic police issued a traffic advisory.

Traffic Diversions:  The traffic will be diverted at the following locations on need basis from 02:00 PM to 09:00 PM

At VV Statue: Traffic coming from Rajbhavan and Panjagutta will not be allowed towards Khairtabad Flyover and diverted at VV Statue towards Shadan, Nirankari, Old PS Saifabad.

At Necklace Rotary: Traffic coming from Khairtabad flyover towards NTR Marg will not be allowed and will be diverted at Indira Gandhi statue (Necklace rotary) towards PVNR Marg/Necklace Road - Prasads IMAX/ Mint compound Lane.

At Old Telugu Thalli Junction: Traffic coming from Liberty towards upper tank bund will not be allowed and will be diverted at old Telugu Thalli Junction towards Iqbal minar.

At Telugu thalli starting flyover: Traffic coming from Iqbal Minar will not be allowed towards old Ambedker Junction and will be diverted on to Telugu thalli flyover towards Katta maisamma.

At Old PS Saifabad: Traffic coming from Nirankari Junction and round towards Iqbal Minar Minar will not be allowed and will be diverted towards Ravindrabharathi.

At Ravindra Bharathi : Traffic coming from Old PS Saifabad towards Iqbal Minar will not be allowed and will be diverted towards Ravindra Bharathi and HTP. Traffic coming from HTP towards Iqbal Minar will not be allowed and will be diverted towards Lakdikapool.

At DBR Mills: Traffic coming from Dhobi Ghat towards Childrens park/Upper Tank bund will not be allowed and will be diverted at DBR Mills towards Kavadiguda X roads.

At Kavadiguda X roads: Traffic coming from DBR Mills will be diverted at Kawadiguda X roads towards Jabbar Complex & CGO Towers.

Further, Traffic coming from CGO Towers towards Sailing Club will not be allowed and will be diverted at Kavadiguda X roads towards DBR Mills & Jabbar Complex.

At Karbala Maidan: Traffic coming from Ranigunj towards upper tank bund will not be allowed and will be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Bible House.

All inter district RTC buses coming from Secunderabad towards MGBS via Tank Bund will be diverted at Sweekar - Upakar Junction towards YWCA  Sangeeth Mettuguda  Tarnaka  Nallakunta - Fever Hospital X roads  Barkathpura - Tourist Hotel - Nimboli Adda  Chaderghat - Rangmahal and MGBS.

City buses coming towards Tank bund will be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Bible House.

PVNR Marg/ Necklace Road – (250 cars & 500 two wheelers for General Public), 2. Adarsh Nagar Lane – (200 two wheelers for General Public), 3. GHMC Head Office Lane – (50 cars for General Public), 4. Formula Race Course Road – (100 cars & 500 two wheelers for General Public), 5. Boats Club  (50 Cars for Ministers), 6. Martyrs Memorial – (300 cars for MLAs, MLCs & MPs, All India Service Officers (IAS) & Corporation Chairmen & ZP Chairmen and other dignitaries).

Citizens are requested to avoid the following junctions where traffic congestion is expected viz., (1) V.V. Statue, Khairatabad, (2) Old PS Saifabad, (3) Iqbal Minar, (4) Telugu Thalli Junction, (5) Necklace Rotary, (6) Liberty, (7) Ravindra Bharati, (8) Ambedkar Statue, (9) Kavadiguda Crossroads, (10) Kattamaisamma, (11) Indira Park crossroads, (12) Karbala Maidan, (13) Ranigunj and (14) Nallagutta.

Hyderabad traffic police advised all the citizens to take note of the traffic diversions and congestion points mentioned above and to use the alternative routes to reach their destinations. The road closures and diversions will be lifted after the conclusion of the program.
