Hyderabad to see expansion of 49 link roads as CM Revanth Reddy prioritizes public convenience
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on March 29, 2025, highlighted the need for constructing and expanding link roads in Hyderabad in accordance with future public needs. He made these remarks during a review meeting held at the ICCC regarding the Hyderabad Road Development Corporation (HRDCL) project.
The meeting focused on the construction and expansion of 49 roads under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) areas. CM Revanth Reddy stressed the importance of enhancing connectivity between various regions and ensuring that road developments ease travel for the public.
In his address, the Chief Minister urged officials to consider long-term requirements while planning road projects. He pointed out that these initiatives should not only reduce commuter inconvenience but also save time for the public. Additionally, Revanth Reddy suggested that authorities should be prepared to acquire additional land, even at higher costs, to ensure the roads meet future demands.
The meeting was attended by key officials, including Chief Minister’s Advisor V. Narendra Reddy, State Government Advisor (Infrastructure) Srinivasraju, Principal Secretary Shanti Kumari, and HMDA Commissioner Ahmed, among others.
