Global jazz stars set to light up Hyderabad at World Jazz Festival 2025
Hyderabad: Artists from across the globe from the Netherlands, USA, China, and South Africa will perform in Hyderabad soon. The World Jazz Festival is set to be held at Shilpakala Vedika, Hitec City on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
The music festival features a unique lineup of jazz performers drawn from different parts of the world including Netherlands, South Africa, Thailand, Spain, Brazil, Venezuela, Italy, and Suriname.
The artistes include Round Midnight Orchestra ft. Graziëlla Hunsel Rivero, Lucas Santana Brazilian Experience, South African Jazz sensation Darren English, Femke Mooren Group ft. Carolina Brusse and Thai Jazz by Pang Saxpackgirl.
Banyan Tree is bringing the jazz experience to India in collaboration with the renowned Amersfoort Jazz Festival from The Netherlands. In its 5th edition of the World Jazz Festival, the events are being held in Delhi on April 4, Pune on April 6, Bengaluru on April 11, Mumbai on April 12 and the finale in Hyderabad.
Last December, the sixth edition of the International Jazz festival was held in Hyderabad. The musical event was hosted at the Hyderabad Public School in Begumpet. The audience had a mesmerising musical night under the open sky, listening to international musicians, the Jazz experts. Jazz is one of the music forms, which had its origins in the African-American communities.
The US Consulate General Hyderabad, Goethe-Zentrum, Hyderabad and the Embassy of the Netherlands, came together to organise this International festival.
The event saw four performances from one of the top four extraordinary bands, including, Native Jazz Quartet from United States of America, Maelstrom from Germany, Cacha Mundinho, a collective of eclectic musicians from India and Holland, George Hull Collective from Hyderabad, India.
