Hyderabad set to get 70-storey skyscraper in Osman Nagar
Hyderabad: A year ago, Hyderabad-based company SAS Infra, hit the headlines for constructing South India’s tallest skyscraper at Kokapet. Now, Hyderabad is set to get a 70-storey skyscraper in Osman Nagar locality.
The builders of Hyderabad’s tallest skyscraper have reportedly received preliminary approval from the competent authority.
Work is in progress for 63-storied and 62-floor structures in Kokakpet while a 61-storied building is coming up in Nanakramguda. The work on 57-storied SAS Crown towering 235 metres is underway and is expected to be completed by March 2027.
Gachibowli, HITEC City, Raidurg, Kondapur, Manikonda, Kukatpally localities boast of several high-rises while numerous others and even taller buildings are currently under construction in newly planned areas like Neopolis, Kokapet and Gandipet.
Until last year, 59-floor structures in Puppalaguda and a 58-floor building in Kokapet were the tallest in the city. Similarly, the authorities have given permissions for a 55-floor building in Puppalaguda and a 54-floor structure at Kokapet.
The authorities have carried out a detailed study of traffic assessments before granting approvals to these tall buildings in the city.
Realty major Brigade group is constructing Hyderabad’s tallest twin skyscrapers on a 10-acre land parcel in Neopolis. The 212-metre high structure is being developed with an investment of over Rs. 4,500 crore. The proposed mixed-use project is expected to be completed by the end of 2029.
Earlier, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) approved the plans for 10 buildings consisting of 50-59 floors in the IT corridor, Golden Mile and Neopolis Layout in Kokapet. These permits were given by the HMDA through the Telangana State Building Permissions and Self Certification System (TS-bPASS) and approved by the Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TGRERA).
