Hyderabad to experience driest & brightest day of the year, says Telangana Weatherman
Hyderabad: Hyderabad residents should prepare for the driest and brightest day of the year, according to Telangana Weatherman (@balaji25_t), who shared the forecast on March 6, 2025, via X (formerly Twitter).
He warned of a severe drop in humidity, with afternoon levels expected to range between 5-10%. This will result in extremely dry conditions, and he advised people to apply skin moisturizer and stay hydrated. While the heat is expected to remain normal, the sun will be exceptionally bright.
Meanwhile, on March 5, 2025, Hyderabad also experienced an unexpected cold wave despite the recent scorching heat. The Weatherman described this as a "crazy March coldwave" gripping the city. He highlighted the sharp contrast between the 38°C temperatures recorded just 36 hours ago and the current chill sweeping through the region.
Temperature readings from several areas in Hyderabad show a significant drop in the weather. At the University of Hyderabad, the temperature recorded was 12°C, while Rajendranagar saw 12.2°C. Other areas like MoulaAli, Gachibowli, and Sivarampalle reported temperatures of 14.6°C, 14.9°C, and 16.1°C, respectively. Begumpet recorded 16.6°C, while Dundigal, Shahpur Nagar, and Neredmet saw temperatures ranging from 17°C to 17.7°C.
The Weatherman advised residents to enjoy the cool relief but warned that further drops in temperature are expected overnight, with warm conditions likely returning during the day.
In addition to the situation in Hyderabad, the Weatherman noted an "unusual coldwave" sweeping across Telangana. He pointed out the dramatic shift from 39-40°C temperatures just a day and a half ago to the current single-digit temperatures in several regions of the state. In Asifabad, Tiryani recorded 8.5°C, while Kerameri saw 11.5°C. In Adilabad, temperatures in Jainad, Adilabad Urban, Bela, and Bazarhathnoor ranged from 9.2°C to 9.5°C. Other areas like Sangareddy, Rangareddy, Nirmal, and Mancherial also reported lower temperatures, with some places dipping into the single digits.
On March 5, 2025, the Weatherman had previously warned of sharply falling night temperatures across Telangana. He advised residents to take advantage of the rare March cold spell during the next three nights and mornings while daytime temperatures would remain relatively warm.
