Hyderabad student dies in US car accident

Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a student from Quthbullapur, Hyderabad, died in a road accident in the United States, according to family sources.

The deceased student, 21-year-old Sandeep Kumar Yadav, had gone to the US two years ago and was pursuing his masters at a university in Ohio state.

On the night of November 17, Sunday, Sandeep left in a car with his friend to meet another friend. He died on the spot when a speeding car collided head-on with their vehicle, however, his friend escaped with minor injuries.

The bereaving family members have urged the Telangana government to help bring back his body to India for funeral. It is pertinent to note here that dozens of Indian students have either been killed or died mysteriously in the US since the beginning of 2024.
