Hyderabad engineering student dies after being hit by vehicle

HYDERABAD: A vehicle hit a 20-year-old engineering student while he was crossing the road in Hayathnagar on September 23, resulting in his death.

Police said the victim, identified as Jamuna Ahmad daughter of Khursheed Ahmad Wani  was on her way to board her college bus around 6.15 am. She was crossing near Krishnaveni Hospital when an unidentified vehicle coming from Abdullapurmet towards LB Nagar knocked her down.

Locals rushed her to Krishnaveni Hospital, and doctors shifted her to Yashoda Hospital, Malakpet, for better treatment. She succumbed to her injuries on the way around 8.30 am.

Police registered a case and launched an investigation.
