Hyderabad stampede at Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2' premiere claims life, injures child
Hyderabad: A tragic incident overshadowed the highly anticipated premiere of Allu Arjun's "Pushpa 2: The Rule" on December 4, 2024, in Hyderabad. According to the news reports, a 39-year-old woman named Revathi lost her life, and her young son was critically injured in a stampede that occurred outside the Sandhya Theatre at RTC X Roads.
The chaos erupted around 10:30 p.m. when a massive crowd of fans surged towards the theatre, eager to catch a glimpse of the actor Allu Arjun. The sudden influx of people overwhelmed security personnel, leading to a stampede-like situation. In the ensuing chaos, Revathi and her son were caught in the crush, leaving them unconscious.
Despite immediate efforts by police and bystanders to administer CPR, Revathi, a resident of Dilsukhnagar, succumbed to her injuries. Her son was rushed to a hospital and remains in critical condition.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage and questions about the adequacy of security arrangements. According to reports, the sudden arrival of the actor, coupled with the massive turnout of fans, overwhelmed the security personnel.
