Hyderabad police seeks ex-servicemen for 116 SPO positions; Apply by August 5

Hyderabad: Hyderabad City Police has issued a notification inviting applications for 116 temporary posts of Special Police Officers (SPOs).

Eligibility is limited to ex-servicemen, ex-paramilitary personnel, and retired police officers from Telangana State. The age limit is set at below 58 years as of August 1, 2025, for ex-servicemen. For ex-paramilitary and retired police personnel who have retired within the last two years, the upper age limit is 61 years. Candidates must provide residential proof in Telangana, such as Aadhaar, Voter ID, or Driving License.

Selected Special Police Officers (SPOs) will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹26,000. The position does not include paid leave; any leave taken will be without pay.

Applicants are required to submit original and photocopies of the following documents: Discharge or Retirement Certificate, Aadhaar and PAN Card, Technical Trade Certificate (if applicable), Valid Driving Licence (for driver posts), and three passport-sized photographs.

Applications must be submitted in person at the SPOs Office, CAR Headquarters, Petlaburj, Hyderabad. The authorities have clarified that phone inquiries regarding the application process will not be accepted. The last date to apply is August 5, 2025, by 5 PM.
