According to reports, Rajeshwar was returning home after duty at the Balkampet Bonalu Utsavalu when the accident occurred. He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a nearby private hospital.

Rajeshwar had joined the police department as a constable in 1990. He is survived by his wife and two children. His body was shifted to the government hospital in Sangareddy for postmortem. A case has been registered.

In a separate incident earlier this week, at least five people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision involving nine cars on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Rajendranagar on Monday morning. Initial reports suggest the crash was triggered when the driver of a speeding car applied sudden brakes, causing a chain-reaction collision.

The resulting traffic jam stretched nearly two kilometres. Police and ORR maintenance staff cleared the wreckage and restored traffic. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital. A case has been filed.

These accidents follow a fatal crash near Adibatla on May 2, in which D. Thirumalesh (30) died after losing control of his car while returning to Hyderabad from Shamshabad. His vehicle hit a median and flipped multiple times. He died on the spot. Police suspect he may have fallen asleep at the wheel.

On April 7, a traffic home guard was killed and two constables injured when a lorry crashed into a traffic booth near the Miyapur Metro Station around 11:00 p.m. The officers were managing a no-entry zone when the lorry, which had unloaded rice bags in Bharat Nagar and was heading from Kukatpally, rammed into the booth near pillar number 600.

Home Guard Simhachalam, a native of Aamdalavalasa in Srikakulam district, sustained fatal head injuries and died at a private hospital in Madinaguda. Constables Rajavardhan and Vijender were also injured; Rajavardhan suffered fractures to his arm and shoulder, while Vijender received minor injuries.
