Hyderabad: The SHE Teams of the Hyderabad City Police apprehended 247 individuals for misbehaving with women at the Nampally Exhibition (Numaish) held from January 3 to February 17, 2025. The operation is part of the ongoing efforts to ensure public safety, particularly for women and children.

Out of the 247 individuals caught, 37 were booked in petty cases. Two accused were sentenced to two days in jail, while 33 others were fined ₹1,050 each.

One individual was fined ₹50, and another was sentenced to two days of imprisonment along with a ₹50 fine. A total of 190 individuals were given a warning and let off after counseling. Twenty cases remain pending for further action.

Among those apprehended, 223 were adults, while 24 were minors.

The Hyderabad SHE Teams continue to monitor public spaces to prevent harassment. Citizens are encouraged to stay vigilant and report any incidents of harassment through the Dial 100 service, social media, or by visiting the nearest SHE Teams office.
