Hyderabad: A large pothole has appeared on a newly laid road in Shamsher Gunj, Bahadurpura, raising safety concerns among local residents and commuters. Locals are alarmed by the depth of the pothole, reportedly around six feet, and fear it could lead to accidents or even road collapse if not addressed quickly.

The issue was brought to public attention by Shaik Abdul Mukarram (@abdul869) on X (formerly Twitter), who tagged the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and other officials. His post read, “@CommissionrGHMC, @GHMCOnline @MohdMubeen58 There is a large pothole on the newly laid road in Shamsher Gunj, Bahadurpura. It is about 6 feet deep and poses a serious risk of a major accident. Kindly take urgent action to fix this. #Hyderabad #GHMC #RoadSafety #Bahadurpura”

Responding to the post, the official GHMC handle replied, “Dear citizen, inconvenience regretted. The area engineering team has been informed to attend to it. @EE_Circle10 @Dcfalaknuma”
