Servant arrested for gold theft in Hyderabad, jewellery worth ₹8.75 lakh recovered
HYDERABAD: Goshamahal police arrested a 27-year-old woman for allegedly stealing gold ornaments worth ₹8.75 lakh from her employer’s house and recovered the entire stolen property.
Police identified the accused as Nandini Kamble, wife of Chandrakant Kamble, resident of Puranapool, Dhoolpet. She was employed as a domestic worker.
Complaint and investigation
On September 29, 2025, Gurmeet Singh, resident of Begum Bazar, lodged a complaint with Goshamahal police stating that jewellery was missing from his residence. The stolen items included four bangles, two chains, a chain with locket, a bracelet, a pair of ear rings, a ring and a necklace. Acting on the complaint, police collected technical evidence and tracked the suspect’s movements. Later the same day, the crime team apprehended Kamble and recovered the stolen ornaments, weighing 178 grams in total.

4 gold bangles (69g)
1 gold chain (8g)
1 gold chain with locket (30g)
1 gold bracelet (15g)
1 pair of ear rings (7g)
1 gold ring (7g)
1 gold necklace (42g)
Police operation
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police G Chandra Mohan, Additional DCP Krishna Goud, and ACP S Sudarshan. The investigation team included SHO M Srinivasulu, Detective Inspector D Venkat Reddy, Sub-Inspector Ajeeth Singh Bairwa and several police constables. Senior officers appreciated the swift action of the team for detecting the case and recovering the stolen property intact within hours of the complaint.
