Rowdy-sheeter killed days before wedding in Hyderabad’s Old City
Hyderabad: A man was killed on Sunday night, April 13, 2025, in the Rein Bazaar area of Hyderabad’s Old City, just days ahead of his wedding.
The victim, Masiuddin, was a known rowdy-sheeter from Falaknuma and had a history of criminal cases registered against him. He was scheduled to get married on April 19.
According to reports, unidentified assailants attacked him and fled the scene, leaving him in a pool of blood. Locals alerted authorities, and police reached the spot soon after. The body was sent for post-mortem.
Preliminary investigation suggests the murder was planned, with personal enmity suspected as the motive. Police are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas and have begun collecting evidence. A case has been registered, and the investigation is ongoing.
Earlier, a seven-year-old boy was found dead on April 3, 2025, near Miralam Tank in Attapur. The child had suffered severe head injuries, possibly from stones, and his body was dumped in a secluded area among bushes.
Local residents discovered the body and informed the police. Investigators are checking missing person reports to establish the boy’s identity. The motive behind the killing is still unknown.
