Hyderabad Rotary club hosts car rally to fund diagnostic centre

HYDERABAD: The Rotary Club of Hyderabad Deccan (RCHD) marked a milestone in community service with the inaugural "Deccan Accelerates for Charity" Time, Speed, and Distance Car Rally. The event, which saw over 20 cars participating, commenced on January 6, 2024, from Solitaire Global Schools, Attapur.

RCHD, a prominent part of Rotary International, with over 70 members from diverse vocations, organized the rally to raise funds for a Diagnostic Centre catering to the poor and needy in Kondapur, Hyderabad. The president of RCHD, Rtn.Anil Ramchandani, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response, with nearly 100 participants and generous contributions of Rs. 40 lakhs from sponsors' CSR funds.

Speaking at the event, president Ramchandani said, "This is the first time we at RCHD are conducting a Time, Speed, and Distance Car Rally. We thank our sponsors for their generous gesture and look forward to their continued support in the years to come."

The funds raised from this initiative will be directed towards the construction of the Diagnostic Centre, furthering RCHD's commitment to community welfare.
