Hyderabad road safety volunteers promote no honking and lane discipline
Hyderabad: On March 28, 2025, Hyderabad road safety volunteers, in collaboration with the Cyberabad and Kukatpally Traffic Police, conducted an awareness campaign focused on key traffic issues, including no honking, wrong-side driving, and lane discipline.
Arun Bathula, (Hyderabad Road Warrior), spoke with the Hyderabad Mail about the initiative. He said, "The campaign aimed to address important traffic concerns such as wrong-side driving, wearing helmets, unnecessary honking, and maintaining lane discipline. We also encouraged commuters to actively participate in traffic enforcement by reporting violations."

Commuters were urged to send photos of traffic violations to the Cyberabad E-Challan WhatsApp number (9490617346) to help issue fines, reinforcing the idea that road safety is a shared responsibility. Through this initiative, the team hoped to increase awareness and promote safer roads across Hyderabad.
The Cyberabad Traffic Police also posted about the event on social media, saying, "With the help of Kukatpally Traffic Police, @arun_bathula and his team held an awareness drive on No Honking, Wrong Side Driving & Lane Discipline. A Traffic Awareness Program was conducted in collaboration with ZUDIO employees to educate commuters on the helmets & traffic rules for road safety. Helmets were distributed to those without one, stressing the need for protective headgear.

In addition, another traffic awareness program was held in collaboration with Zudio employees to educate commuters about helmet use and traffic rules. Helmets were distributed to those without one, highlighting the importance of protective headgear, according to Inspector Balanagar Traffic PS.
