Hyderabad: A resident of Hyderabad's Kondapur has voiced his frustration on social media after multiple complaints about a footpath encroached by a petty shop selling cigarettes and other items went unresolved. Despite raising the issue several times, the resident, Sarat Chandra (@Tnsarat), claims the complaint tickets were closed without any action taken by the authorities.

In his post, Sarat Chandra criticised the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), questioning why the ticket was being closed when the issue remained unresolved. He wrote, "Highlighted comment by the officers states that they have informed the owner of the ticket several times. Then why is no action being taken? @GHMCOnline @ZC_SLP @gadwalvijayainc @revanth_anumula @Comm_HYDRAA. Why is the ticket being closed when the resolution is still pending? This is the third time the ticket has been closed, and two previous tickets were also closed multiple times without any action. Is there any way to escalate this? Or is anyone concerned?"

In response to the complaint, the official GHMC Twitter handle acknowledged the concern and assured that the issue had been forwarded to the Town Planning Officer. The reply read, "Dear citizen, the area Town Planning Officer has been informed about this. @acp_slp_cir20 @DC_Serilingmply."

Despite this acknowledgment, the continued closure of tickets without resolution has raised questions about the effectiveness of the complaint-handling process.
