Hyderabad: Residents of Pratap Nagar, Srinagar Colony, in Punjagutta have raised concerns about the delayed road work in their locality. Despite the inauguration and sanctioning of ₹45 lakh for the road work more than five months ago, no progress has been made.

Jayanth Kumar, a local resident, expressed his frustration on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “It’s been five months since the inauguration and sanctioning of ₹45 lakh for road work in the bylanes of Pratap Nagar, Srinagar Colony, Punjagutta (Ward 92, Cir-18, Khairatabad).” Kumar also pointed out the poor condition of the roads, citing broken surfaces, loose gravel, and exposed manholes, which pose a danger to residents, particularly children and the elderly. He highlighted the need for proper CC roads as promised by GHMC.

In his post, Kumar urged GHMC to take immediate action, saying, “Please take urgent action. We need proper CC roads as promised! Please look into this, as engineers have not yet reviewed the site.” In response to the concerns, the official GHMC X handle acknowledged the issue, stating, “Dear citizen, the area AE (Engineering) is informed to inspect the site and attend to the issue. An update on the road work will follow.”

However, despite the response, local resident Bollaboina Manish Yadav noted that no progress had been made, adding, “Road work in the bylanes of Pratap Nagar, Srinagar Colony, Punjagutta remains incomplete. I hope the issue will be resolved promptly.”
