Hyderabad resident flags pothole-ridden roads in Salarjung Colony
Hyderabad: A resident of Hyderabad has raised concerns over the deteriorating condition of roads in Salarjung Colony, specifically near Plot No. 68 on Nanal Nagar Road. The area, reportedly filled with potholes, poses serious safety risks for two-wheeler riders.
The complaint was shared by Syed Ansar Ali (@ansar7396144434) on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), tagging the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and urging immediate action. "Hello GHMC team, please take action of Salarjung Colony Nanal Nagar Road Plot No. 68," his post read.
This comes on the same day GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan visited Indira Park, where he interacted with senior citizens and reviewed park maintenance. Issues highlighted during the visit included unclean toilets, a lack of seating, and algae growth in a nearby well. The Commissioner directed the Deputy Commissioner and Urban Biodiversity (UBD) team to address these concerns promptly.
GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan also reviewed Anti-Larval Operations (ALO) in Arundathi Colony, Musheerabad. While some residents acknowledged the operations, others pointed out irregularities. The Commissioner instructed officials to ensure regular and consistent ALO efforts in the area.
