Hyderabad police to open history sheets for repeat offenders online
Action against repeated abusive comments on social media
HYDERABAD: The police have decided to take strict action against people repeatedly posting abusive comments on social media.
History sheets to track cyber and financial crime suspects
Officials said history sheets will be opened against those who habitually make inappropriate remarks online. The move is aimed at deterring offenders who use social media platforms to harass or spread offensive content.
Police have also decided to focus on individuals committing financial crimes through social media. "We will act against those misusing social media for false advertisements, misleading claims and economic offences," an official said.
According to the department, history sheets will be opened for repeat offenders using social media as a base for criminal activity. This measure will help in monitoring and curbing their activities.
Authorities added that repeated cyber offences would be tracked systematically to prevent escalation into larger crimes.
