Hyderabad pharmacy licence suspended over abortion kit bills

HYDERABAD: The Drug Control Administration (DCA) has suspended the licence of Alphin Pharmacy in Tirumalagiri RTC Colony for 15 days.

According to Secunderabad Drugs Inspector B Govind Singh, he recently inspected the pharmacy and sought details of bills relating to the sale of abortion kits. The management refused to provide the records, following which the licence was suspended.

“This is a primary action. If the pharmacy fails to provide a proper explanation, further action will be taken,” Govind Singh said.
