Hyderabad: Rowdy sheeter attacks people with knife in Nehru Nagar
HYDERABAD: Panic gripped Nehru Nagar Colony in Hyderabad late on Monday night when a man, allegedly under the influence of drugs, attacked pedestrians with a knife outside a hospital. The area falls under the IS Sadan police station limits.
The accused, identified as Naseer, a wanted rowdy sheeter, was seen in CCTV footage hurling abuses, brandishing a knife and lunging at people on the road. Eyewitnesses said visitors and pedestrians were forced to run for safety while some locked themselves indoors. Several two-wheelers parked along the footpath were also damaged during the attack.
Police action and case details
Police said a case has been registered on the complaint of a victim for creating public nuisance, criminal intimidation and property damage. Officials added that Naseer may also face charges under the Arms Act for carrying a dangerous weapon in public. A search has been launched to trace him.

Clips of the incident, now viral on social media, have drawn sharp reactions from users demanding strict action against the accused. Police confirmed that no casualties were reported.
