Hyderabad: Friends kill Man in Narsingi after drunken brawl

HYDERABAD: A man identified as Yadagiri was killed by his friends Afroz and Nawaz in Kokapet late on Sunday night after a quarrel under the influence of alcohol.

Trio consumed alcohol before fight

Police said the three friends were drinking heavily near a double-bedroom apartment complex in Kokapet when a heated argument broke out. The dispute escalated, leading Afroz and Nawaz to attack Yadagiri with a knife.

Locals alerted police

Hearing the commotion, local residents dialled 100 and alerted the police. A Narsingi police team rushed to the spot and shifted Yadagiri’s body to hospital for postmortem.

Two taken into custody

Police confirmed that both Afroz and Nawaz have been taken into custody. Further investigation is underway.
