Hyderabad Police raid ‘Trap House’ Instagram party in Moinabad

HYDERABAD: A group of minors who met on Instagram allegedly organised a drug-fuelled party at a farmhouse in Moinabad on Saturday. The incident came to light after Rajendranagar Special Operations Team (SOT) police raided the premises.

DJ used Instagram to promote ‘Trap House 9MM’ event

Police said a city-based DJ was operating an Instagram account titled ‘Trap House 9MM’ through which he advertised the event, promising an “unlimited experience” at the Trap House Party in Moinabad. Passes were priced at ₹1,600 per person and ₹2,800 per couple for the event scheduled from 2pm to 10pm.

Attracted by the post, about 50 youngsters — mostly minors from different parts of Hyderabad — gathered at the Oakes farmhouse in Moinabad on Saturday. During the party, police conducted a surprise raid and found several attendees under the influence of drugs.

Police seized drugs, liquor; six organisers detained

Drug tests confirmed that two minors had consumed ganja. Officers seized six bottles of foreign liquor and detained six organisers. All were handed over to Moinabad police station.

Police registered a case on Sunday and began an investigation. Families of the minors were informed.
