Hyderabad metro launches new T-Savaari app and extends train hours
Hyderabad: L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (L&TMRHL) has introduced several key improvements to the city’s metro system, focusing on digital enhancements and expanded services to better serve commuters.
The announcements came during the concluding events of the Hyderabad Metro Art Fest, Metro Fest – Ugadi Celebrations, and Metro Medley at L&T Premia Mall – Irrum Manzil. The company launched a new version of the T-Savaari mobile app and a redesigned website (www.ltmetro.com), both aimed at making metro travel easier and more efficient.
Extended Train Timings for Increased Accessibility
In response to growing demand, L&T Metro Rail has extended its train timings starting April 1, 2025. The last train will now depart from all terminal stations at 11:45 p.m., 45 minutes later than before, from Monday to Friday. On Sundays, the first train will start service at 7:00 a.m., making it easier for early commuters.
To further improve the convenience of metro travel, the company has expanded its first and last-mile connectivity through its partner SVIDA Mobility. The fleet of feeder vehicles has grown to 200, and now caters to over 16,000 daily commuters. This expansion is designed to make travel more seamless, bridging the gap between metro stations and residential or commercial areas.
Student Pass Offer Extended for Another Year
Recognizing the role of students in the city’s public transport system, L&TMRHL has extended its Student Pass Offer for another year, until March 31, 2026. This offer allows students to pay for 20 trips and receive 30, encouraging more young commuters to choose metro travel. Additionally, the Super Saver Holiday Offer and the Off-Peak Discount Offer, introduced in April 2024, will end on 31st March 2025.
The company also unveiled the upgraded T-Savaari mobile app, designed to make metro travel more user-friendly. The app now offers new features like a journey rating system, real-time updates on ticket status, and a voice input option for selecting stations while booking tickets. In addition, passengers can cancel QR tickets directly from the app and check the status of their metro card recharge.
A loyalty program has also been introduced in the T-Savaari app, allowing passengers to earn points with each ticket purchase. These points can be redeemed for future travel, adding value for frequent commuters. For every 10 points, passengers will receive ₹1 off their next trip, and points are valid for 30 days.
In addition to the mobile app, the company has relaunched its official website with a new design, making it more accessible and easier to use. The website now offers real-time information on train timings, metro network maps, and last-mile connectivity options. It also includes important safety guidelines, customer service information, and updates on ongoing offers and events. Designed to be mobile-friendly, the new site is powered by AI tools to provide real-time updates and improve the user experience.
L&T Metro Rail also uses the website to highlight business opportunities, including advertising, retail, and transit-oriented development. The site showcases the company’s commitment to sustainability, with dedicated sections on green initiatives and corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs.
NVS Reddy, Managing Director of Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL), said, “Hyderabad Metro Rail is more than just an infrastructure project, it is a catalyst for urban transformation and community enrichment.
