Hyderabad Metro Rail announces revised fare structure, effective May 17, 2025

Hyderabad: A revised fare structure for the Hyderabad Metro Rail will come into effect from May 17, 2025, following the recommendations of the Fare Fixation Committee (FFC). The committee, formed under Section 34 of the Metro Railways (Operation & Maintenance) Act, 2002, submitted its report on 25th January 2023.  According to Section 37 of the same Act, the committee's recommendations are binding on the Metro Railway Administration.

The revised fare structure has been designed to balance affordability and financial sustainability. The new fares are as follows, for distances up to 2 km, the fare will be INR 12; for more than 2 km and up to 4 km, the fare will be INR 18; for more than 4 km and up to 6 km, the fare will be INR 30; for more than 6 km and up to 9 km, the fare will be INR 40; and for more than 9 km and up to 12 km, the fare will be INR 50.

For longer distances, the fare will continue as follows, for more than 12 km and up to 15 km, the fare will be INR 55; for more than 15 km and up to 18 km, the fare will be INR 60; for more than 18 km and up to 21 km, the fare will be INR 66; for more than 21 km and up to 24 km, the fare will be INR 70; and for distances beyond 24 km, the fare will be INR 75.
