Hyderabad: Wife kills husband during late-night dispute in Kukatpally

HYDERABAD:  Husband was stabbed to death allegedly by his wife during a late-night quarrel in Kukatpally under Narsingi police station limits of Rangareddy district.

Police said the victim, identified as Bharat Baroada, was attacked with a vegetable knife by his wife Krishna Jyoti Bora following a domestic dispute. The couple, originally from Assam, had been living in Kukatpally and working as daily-wage labourers.

Dispute turned violent at night

According to investigators, the argument escalated around midnight when the woman allegedly stabbed Bharat in a fit of rage. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Neighbours informed police, who reached the scene and took Krishna Jyoti into custody. The knife used in the attack has been seized.

Police probing harassment angle

Preliminary inquiries suggested that Bharat had been harassing his wife for some time, which may have triggered the attack. Narsingi police have registered a case and are questioning the accused to establish the exact motive behind the killing.
