GHMC acquire 387 sq yards from Balakrishna house
HYDERABAD: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has begun surveying residential properties affected by the proposed 120-feet road widening around KBR Park for upcoming flyovers and underpasses.
Notices issued to Balakrishna, Jana Reddy, Chandrasekhar Reddy
Officials said that actor Balakrishna’s house on Jubilee Hills Road No. 47 will lose 387 sq yards to the project, as mentioned in notices issued under the Land Acquisition Act. Former minister Jana Reddy will lose 410 sq yards, while actor Allu Arjun’s uncle Chandrasekhar Reddy will part with 204 sq yards.
200–450 sq yards taken from each property
From Agrasen Chowrastha to the KBR Park stretch, land is being acquired from one side of the road, with each affected property losing between 200 and 450 sq yards.
Compensation options for affected owners
GHMC will hold a stakeholders’ meeting on Monday to brief property owners about the exact extent of land loss. Officials will ask whether owners prefer monetary compensation or Transferable Development Rights (TDR). Those unwilling to accept either option will have their compensation deposited in court, while land will be acquired.
The survey is being carried out intensively and is expected to be completed in two weeks. Authorities said compensation or TDRs will then be distributed without delay.
