Hyderabad jewellery store staff booked for Rs 6 cr gold theft

Hyderabad police have booked a case against eight employees of a jewellery shop who allegedly stole gold worth Rs 6 crore. The theft carried out by staff including the manager came to light during an internal audit by Sri Krishna Jewellers, Banjara Hills.

Following a complaint, the police booked the accused employees who have been identified as Tinku, Chintu, Uday Kumar, Sathya, Ajay, and Chandram Srikanth Babburi. The manager Sukethu Shah was also found missing. The police have formed a team to nab the suspects. Hyderabad Central Crime Station (CCS) is now heading the investigation.

It is reported that the accused staff was stealing the gold bars for quite some time and the manager Suketu Shah was instructing them at each stage to avoid suspicion of management or getting caught.

Meanwhile, Sruti Shah, the wife of Suketi Shah has approached the Banjara Hills police station with a missing person complaint. She alleged that her husband has been missing and blamed the jewellery shop’s management for it.
