3.7 kg of ganja seized near Bapu Ghat, Two from Mahbubnagar held
Hyderabad: In a raid conducted by the Hyderabad enforcement team under the Golconda Excise Station limits, illegal transportation of ganja was intercepted today, June 4, 2025, near Rohana Hospital, Bapu Ghat.
Acting on a tip-off about ganja being smuggled from Shamshabad to Gachibowli, the enforcement team, led by CI Chandrasekhar Goud, stopped a car and carried out a search. The officers seized 3.750 kg of ganja, a Maruti car, and two mobile phones.
Two individuals, Anjaneyulu Goud and Md. Rabbani, both from Mahbubnagar, were arrested. Cases were also registered against Raghavendra Goud and Kavali Mahesh Babu. The seized items were handed over to the Golconda Excise Station.
In a separate incident, the Special Task Force (STF) A Team, led by Anji Reddy, seized 11 hallucinogenic and stimulating ST pills illegally imported from Delhi.
The seizure is linked to an earlier arrest on May 30, when the STF arrested Kanish Kevin of DD Colony, Ameerpet. He was found in possession of 113 LSD blotters and 16 grams of OG Kush marijuana. Kevin, currently in jail, had received a parcel from Delhi. Upon inspection, officials found 50 ST pills in the package. According to Anji Reddy, the pills cause hallucinations and stimulation. A case has been registered in connection with the seizure.
