Hyderabad is India’s fourth biggest billionaire hub with 19 on rich list
HYDERABAD: Hyderabad has emerged as the country’s fourth largest billionaire hub after Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru, according to the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2025. The city is now home to 19 billionaires and 102 entrants overall, contributing to Telangana’s tally of 109 individuals on the list.
Murali Divi of Divi’s Laboratories leads the Hyderabad list with a wealth of ₹91,100 crore, making him the richest in Telangana and the third largest pharma entrepreneur in India. The pharmaceutical sector continues to shape the city’s fortunes, with B Partha saradhi Reddy of Hetero Labs valued at ₹39,030 crore.
Infra sector strengthens city’s presence
Infrastructure also anchors Hyderabad’s wealth profile. P Pitchi Reddy of Megha Engineering & Infrastructures tops the national Construction & Engineering sector with ₹42,650 crore, followed by co-promoter PV Krishna Reddy at ₹41,810 crore. Their position reflects Telangana’s growing role in large-scale projects nationwide.
Healthcare and new wealth creators
Prathap C Reddy of Apollo Hospitals remains a healthcare icon, keeping the Apollo brand on the national map. New entrants highlight generational change, with Harsha Reddy Ponguleti (31) of Raghava Constructions joining the list with ₹1,300 crore, and K Lakshmi Raju of NACL Industries recording a 200% jump to ₹3,000 crore.
National context
Nationally, the list features 358 billionaires. Mukesh Ambani leads with ₹9.55 lakh crore, followed by Gautam Adani at ₹8.15 lakh crore. Roshni Nadar Malhotra of HCL has become India’s richest woman with ₹2.84 lakh crore. Among new-age entrepreneurs, Aravind Srinivas of Perplexity AI (31) debuted at ₹21,190 crore, while Zepto founders Kaivalya Vohra (22) and Aadit Palicha (23) entered with fortunes above ₹4,000 crore each.
For Hyderabad, the trend is consolidation. With its 102 entrants and 19 billionaires, the city has evolved into a pharma–infra–healthcare powerhouse, rivalling India’s largest metros and reshaping the country’s wealth geography.
