According to reports, a mini truck driving on the wrong side of the road collided head-on with their car in Green County. The impact caused the vehicle to catch fire, and all four occupants were burnt alive. The car was completely destroyed in the blaze.

Police recovered skeletal remains from the site and sent them for forensic testing. DNA samples are being collected to confirm the identities before the remains are handed over to the family. Relatives in Hyderabad’s Medchal area are in shock and are awaiting official confirmation.

In a separate incident, three members of a Telangana family died in a road accident in Florida on the night of March 16, 2025. The victims were identified as Pragati Reddy (35), her son Harveen (6), and her mother-in-law Sunitha (56). They were natives of Tekulapalle village in Kondurg mandal, Shadnagar, Ranga Reddy district.

Pragati, married to Rohit Reddy from Siddipet, had moved to the United States and was living with her in-laws in Florida. The family was on a long drive when Rohit lost control of the vehicle, which overturned. Sunitha and Pragati died at the scene, while Rohit and their younger son sustained minor injuries.

Following the accident, Pragati’s parents, Mohan Reddy and Pavitra Devi, traveled to the United States.

Last April, a similar accident involved another Telugu family when their vehicle crashed in Jackson County, Florida. The family was returning from a therapy session when their car veered into oncoming traffic. A one-year-old child died, and three others were critically injured.
