Hyderabad Man held for issuing fake doctorates in Ravindra Bharathi

HYDERABAD: The West Zone Task Force police on Sunday arrested Pedditi Yohanu for allegedly issuing fake doctorate certificates in the name of the Gurram Jashuva Memorial Art Parishad.

Police said Yohanu was caught red-handed while conferring the fake doctorates at Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad. Several forged certificates and documents were seized from his possession.

According to officials, Yohanu had been collecting money from individuals by promising honorary doctorates. Based on preliminary evidence, the Saifabad police station registered a case and took him into custody for further investigation.
