Road rage in Mumbai: Hyderabad employee beaten to death by mob in hometown
Hyderabad: In a road rage incident, Akash Maeen, an employee in Hyderabad, was brutally thrashed by a mob in his hometown Mumbai. He died due to severe injuries inflicted by the group. The tragic incident happened on October 12, Saturday evening.
The deceased man, along with his pregnant wife, was visiting his parents in Malad East for Navratri festival. Akash and his wife went to the car showroom to gift a bike to his parents. They were informed by the management of the showroom that there was a delay in car delivery.
While they were on their way, an auto-rickshaw overtook them recklessly. This enraged Akash as he would have fallen off the bike. He picked an argument with the auto rickshaw driver identified as Avinash Kadam. Even before Akash realised what was happening, a group of 10-15 men trooped in out of nowhere and started beating him badly.
Meanwhile, Akash’s parents Deepali and Dattatreya also reached there and tried to pacify the mob. However, the attackers continued to assault their son to death. After noticing the police arriving at the scene, a few attackers managed to while nine others were caught by the police officials.
