Tejas Katta, a U.S. citizen born in India, moved to the United States when he was one year old. After living in the U.S., he returned to India and worked in Mumbai, where he became addicted to drugs. Over time, Tejas Katta transitioned from being a drug user to a dealer. He later moved to Begumpet, Hyderabad, where he connected with Sohail Mohammed, who shared a similar addiction. Together, they started sourcing drugs from Mumbai and distributing them in Hyderabad.

Every 15 days, the duo would travel to Mumbai to bring back drugs such as Charas, LSD Blasts, and OG Kush for sale in Hyderabad.

Based on a tip-off, the STF team apprehended both men in the Sun City area. In addition to the drugs, Rs. 1 lakh in cash was seized. The total value of the confiscated drugs is estimated at Rs. 2.75 lakhs. The STF's efforts were commended by Excise Enforcement Director V.B. Kamalasan Reddy.
