Hyderabad's Deepanshi Agarwal bags All-India first rank in CA Intermediate Exam

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) released the results for the CA Foundation and Intermediate exams on March 4, 2025. Deepanshi Agarwal from Hyderabad secured the top rank in the CA Intermediate exam, followed by Thota Somnadh Seshadri Naidu from Vijayawada. The pass rates for the Intermediate exam were 14.17% for Group-I, 22.16% for Group-II, and 14.05% for both groups combined. In the CA Foundation exams, 21.52% of the 110,887 candidates who appeared passed the exam.

Hyderabad: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced the results for the Chartered Accountancy Foundation and Intermediate exams on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 11 a.m. In a remarkable achievement, students from the Telugu states secured the top national ranks in the CA Intermediate exam.

Deepanshi Agarwal from Hyderabad secured the first rank, scoring 521 marks out of 600 (86.63%). Thota Somnadh Seshadri Naidu from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, followed closely with the second rank, scoring 516 marks (86%).

The CA Intermediate Group-I exam saw 1,08,187 candidates, with 15,332 students (14.17%) passing. In Group-II, 80,368 students appeared, and 17,813 (22.16%) passed. A combined total of 48,261 candidates wrote both groups simultaneously, with 6,781 (14.05%) passing.

The CA Foundation exams were held in January this year, and 1,10,887 candidates appeared, and 23,861 students (21.52%) successfully cleared the exams.
